Oak Park Students are Winners in Web Design Contest!
Communications Resource Teacher Janet Barnstable reports that Oak Park Elementary District 97 students captured the grand prize in two divisions of the Global Virtual Classroom Web Design Contest.
Percy Julian Middle School seventh graders competed in the elementary division, while eighth graders from the school competed in the secondary division. Each group received $1,000 and a plaque for their winning entries.
Students in Matt Kunze’s fifth grade class at Lincoln School took second place in the elementary division. In all, District 97 students won half of the contest’s six awards.
The Global Virtual Classroom Contest is a global team cooperation and website-building activity for students from 7 to 18 years of age.
