Implementation of the New Illinois Learning Standards incorporating the Common Core is a priority for schools and districts. Many of you were able to join us for the Summer Institute on the Common Core on July 11th. For those of you that could not attend, West 40 is hosting several Overview sessions in which we will review our knowledge of the process to date and introduce you to several resources to support your school or districts transition.

A Standards transition on-line planning tool is available for your use as you evaluate progress toward New Standards implementation. A users guide for this tool is attached. A password specific to your district has been sent to district superintendents under a separate email.

West 40 Consultants are available to work with your staff during in-service or early release days to facilitate your faculty’s exploration of the standards. A consultation fee of $450 for a half day or $750 for a full day will be charged for district facilitation.
