The Academy is designed to build a professional community of mathematics teacher leaders in the participating west Cook County districts. It addresses two interwoven strands: a mathematical strand and a leadership development strand.

AUDIENCE: Designated teacher leaders in participating west Cook County districts (Funding for teacher stipends for attendance during the summer and extended day sessions, and substitutes for school day sessions will be provided by WCMI for one teacher per school.)

TIMELINE: Three sessions to be held on:

• Thursday April 14, 2011 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
• Friday April 15, 2011 from 8:30 - 3:00 p.m.
• Saturday April 16, 2011 from 8:30 - 11:30 p.m.

Five sessions during the school year to be held on select Thursday evenings from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Fridays from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM, and Saturday mornings from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM.
