STEP 1: A school district refers a student to the Regional Safe School Program
STEP 2: A referral team from the Regional Safe School- Middle School and staff from the sending school evaluate the referral to determine proper placement.
STEP 3: If the referral team recommends placement in the Regional Safe School- Middle School, a student Intake meeting is held with the student, family, sending school staff, and Regional Safe School- Middle School staff.
STEP 4: When conditions of the placement are agreed upon, the student is transferred into the Regional Safe School- Middle School.
STEP 5: Students length of stay in the Regional Safe School- Middle must be at least one full semester.
STEP 6: A student transitioning back to the sending school or into the area high school will be assisted and monitored by a Regional Safe School transition team.
