Erika Lukasik joined the West40 Professional Learning team as Professional Learning Specialist with a focus on literacy in the summer of 2024. She has worked in literacy instruction at the elementary, middle school, high school, and higher education levels for the past 17 years serving as a literature teacher, reading specialist, instructional coach, and literacy coordinator. When she isn’t focused on literacy instruction, she’s curled up with her dog and a good book, going to stand-up comedy shows, or listening to Taylor Swift. Erika believes that professional learning is the heart of a reflective and responsive teaching practice.
