The way we communicate has shifted dramatically since winter of 2020! The goal of the Academy is to assist participants to understand how they currently communicate with others.  Through the introduction of the DISC Behavioral Styles, individuals identify how they respond in difficult situations.  The presentation provides action plans for considering equity and responding to nine different types of difficult characters to help participants to integrate that knowledge into their school settings.  Strategies are offered on developing relationships, as well as delivering confrontational statements to resolve a situation. This action-packed session includes role plays, small group discussions, collaborative problem solving, and opportunities to implement strategies such as guiding discussions with questions, and practicing delivering an opening statement to a difficult conversation. Whether your conversations are face to face, on the telephone, through email or zoom, how you communicate is critical.
