    BUILD Introducing West40's Behavioral Health Services program WHAT IS BUILD? BUILD focuses on substance use prevention, education, and intervention activities to foster resilience, protection, new skills, awareness, and connections for students and families while using a Trauma-Informed approach. BUILD WILL ALSO: Provide access to individual and group counseling Strengthen transition back to school for students who have struggled with substance use. Assist in referrals to treatment Partner in case-management and activities with schools Provide workshops and trainings for parents and school staff Become a bridge to community services and resources BUILD RESOURCES Substance use prevention, education and intervention activities to help BUILD resilience, protection, new skills, awareness and connections for our students and families while using a Trauma-Informed Approach.     INSPIRE Teachers Video Project Sign Up > Be a Part of Illinois’ New Teacher Evaluation Training Resource! Take part in building a library of instructional videos that align with the updated Danielson Framework 2022 , designed to enhance teacher evaluation and professional development throughout Illinois. We are looking for teachers across grade levels and subjects interested in showcasing their instructional practices. These videos will serve as resources to support evaluator training, helping elevate teacher evaluation quality statewide. WHY PARTICIPATE? Participating teachers will: Earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for their time and involvement. Receive confidential, non-evaluative, growth-focused feedback using the Danielson 2022 rubrics. Gain exclusive access to West40’s professional learning video library. Receive recognition for contributing to a statewide initiative focused on advancing teaching standards.     The West40 ALOP (Alternative Learning Opportunities Program) is designed to increase school completion rates/graduation rates for students who are struggling by removing barriers and giving them the support they need. Alternative Learning Opportunities Program (ALOP) West40 advocates are the support system to help students stay on track toward success. HOW WE HELP The West40 ALOP (Alternative Learning Opportunities Program) is designed to increase school completion rates/graduation rates for students who are struggling by removing barriers and giving them the support they need. Along with academic and attendance support, our advocates build relationships with our students by infusing social-emotional learning and behavioral support into their days and fostering positive engagement. This includes students who may have just returned from hospitalization, are credit deficient, homeless, chronically absent, needing social emotional mentorship or excessive behavioral referrals.
