This week the West40 Cabinet met to review, discuss, and approve three areas of focus that will define the Strategic Plan that will guide our organization over the next five years.

So far Cabinet members have worked in groups to synthesize and consolidate our findings based on feedback submitted by internal and external stakeholders. Through understanding the importance of responsible and sustainable growth, strong financial stability, and strategic alignment of programs, partnerships, and resources, the Cabinet has established three core priorities – Serving Our Students, Serving Our Staff, and Serving Our Region.

Additionally, each core priority will have three strategic goals to further reinforce a clear roadmap for supporting students, educators, and community members across West Cook County and beyond.
"The recent Cabinet meeting was a great step forward as we leaned into the specific actions behind each of our goals,” said Dr. Jayme Tighe, West40’s Assistant Executive Director. “We’re now bringing those to life.”
In the months ahead, our goal is to fine tune the key points of the plan and develop a communications strategy.
West40 is on track to have its full strategic plan completed by July, so we are ready to hit the ground running in August for the new school year.
